Subjects taught:

  • Favorite Book(s):  Originals by Adam Grant, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle
  • How do you spend your summer breaks?  I spend my summer breaks with my husband and four children. We like to hike, play outside and garden. I also use the summer to read -- both for fun and to learn new things. I love to travel as well!
  • How would your middle school teachers describe you as a middle school student?  At the beginning of middle school, I think my teachers would have described me as hard working and bright but shy. I lacked confidence in myself. As I went through middle school, I gained confidence and became much more myself...curious, opinionated, and outspoken. I loved to learn new things and was very involved in my middle school through sports, student government and in other clubs and activities.

Biographical Sketch:

I am thrilled to be a part of the Everitt community! My husband and I have four children who range in age from 9 to 18. Our family enjoys playing outside, hiking, playing sports, doing theatre, making music of all kinds and playing with our two dogs, Cosmos and Pluto. I began teaching in Jeffco in 1998 and have loved serving the Jeffco community. I have taught every grade from kindergarten through high school except 1st and 2nd. Some of my favorite years of teaching were teaching GT at Stevens Elementary and Wheat Ridge 5-8. At Everitt, I am serving as assistant principal with a focus on our 8th grade students and families and our GT center. I am always happy to answer any questions or listen to any concerns and look forward to meeting all of you.
