  • How do you spend your summer breaks? During the summer I read! A lot! I like to unwind by swimming or traveling with my family. I love to stay up late and watch way too much TV. Summers are perfect for walking my two dogs and playing with my son.
  • How would your middle school teachers describe you as a middle school student?  In middle school there were the kids who loved to be noticed and stand out...that wasn't me. I was expected by my parents to have A's or B's so I did well, but I wasn't the top honors, straight A student. I loved reading and my 8th grade American History class. Math was (and still is) the content I struggled with the most. Although I wasn't the most outstanding student, I was also super involved in different clubs and activities. I took piano lessons, played soccer, was on swim team, ski club, National Junior Honor Society, and loved all of the different elective classes I was able to take.

Born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. Attended all Jeffco schools: Columbine Hills Elementary, Ken Caryl Middle School, graduated Columbine High School 2003. Throughout high school, college, and my first few years of teaching, I worked in the summers and part-time as a lifeguard and swim instructor. Student taught and started my teaching career at Wheat Ridge Middle School. Taught at Niver Creek Middle School in Westminster for one year before landing at Everitt Middle School in 2009. At Everitt, I have taught 7th and 7th grade English Language Arts, a writing elective, worked with students on a school newspaper and yearbooks. I have a son who will turn one in January and two hyper puppies, London & Boomer. In my free time I love to read and travel. I have been fortunate to travel to various countries and visit different cultures. I love the snow and the mountains but can be found relaxing on the beach as well.
