  • Favorite Book(s): The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
  • How do you spend your summer breaks? I like to travel and go hiking during my time off. I typically spend a few weeks in Louisiana visiting my family and relaxing on the beach in Florida.
  • How would your middle school teachers describe you as a middle school student? I was pretty talkative in middle school but definitely was worried about my grade and always finished my work, even though I may not have always turned it in. I was involved on the dance team and in different clubs. I was a really strong math student, but I absolutely hated social studies and reading.

  • I graduated from LSU in 2008 with an undergraduate degree in elementary education.
  • In 2009 I graduated with my masters in education with a concentration in history.
  • I have certifications in the following areas: elementary grades 1-6, secondary language arts, and secondary social studies.

Biographical Sketch:

I was born and raised in the South, hopping around between Louisiana, Tennessee, and Mississippi. I lived in Louisiana for 14 years before moving to Colorado. I am a die-hard LSU football fan who bleeds purple and gold on Saturdays during the fall. Professionally, I have taught grades 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th. I have also taught language arts as well as my current topic of social studies.
